Since September 15, 2026, basecom has been certified to ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (Information Security). For our customers, this means that basecom’s information security and quality management systems are now independently audited. This enables us to meet our customers’ requirements, for example in the areas of supplier audits or their own compliance standards.
ISO/IEC 27001 outlines requirements for an information security management system: how data is classified, access is controlled, risks are assessed, and security incidents are reported. ISO 9001 outlines the requirements for a quality management system: how processes are documented, customer requirements are identified, and improvements are verifiably implemented. Both certifications apply to basecom’s core business: customer consulting, design, agile development, operation, and support of e-commerce solutions and custom software projects at the Osnabrück location. At the Munich location, basecom has been ISO 9001-certified for several years.
Since the official start of preparations in March 2026, basecom has formalized existing processes regarding access rights, risk management, approvals for external communication, and incident management into policies, processes, and work instructions, and documented them using the Secfix tool. All employees have been on board: they have completed security awareness training, read and accepted the guidelines, and applied the new procedures in their daily work.
basecom develops and operates e-commerce and custom software solutions, often involving sensitive customer and business data. For tenders, supplier audits, or internal compliance requirements, a recognized certificate is a prerequisite for many customers. Effective immediately, the two certificates formally confirm that basecom meets the requirements of the respective standards.
