Adobe Commerce/ Magento is also listed as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce in 2025. Gartner analysts see the platform's strengths in synergy effects through the linking with other Adobe products, in the area of content and store management and in the cloud migration strategy. Gartner points out that Adobe Commerce's roadmap includes Agentic AI Experiences and an agent orchestration platform.
commercetools is listed as a Leader in Digital Commerce for the sixth time in the Gartner Magic Qudrant 2025. According to Gartner, commercetools is particularly suitable for large companies with an annual turnover of more than 100 million dollars. commercetools also impressed the analysts with its innovative strength in the field of AI and agentic commerce. With frameworks such as MCP and AI Hub, the platform offers the option of interacting with other commerce systems using AI agents or designing autonomous sales and checkout experiences with the help of external Large Language Models (LLM).
SAP Commerce Cloud is again listed as a leader in 2025. According to the analysts, SAP Commerce Cloud customers are large (global) companies from the retail and manufacturing sectors.
As in the previous year, Gartner emphasizes the platform's strength in the B2B sector and in supporting complex business models. Special mention is made of the new B2B self-service portal. The roadmap provides for enhancements to the POS solution and in the area of AI agents.
As in previous years, Shopify and Shopify Plus are classified as leaders in 2025. Compared to last year, Shopify has once again gained in the 'Ability to Execute' dimension and achieved the highest rating by some distance. According to Gartner, Shopify in the Shopify Plus and Shopify Enterprise editions is predominantly used by medium-sized and large companies in the retail environment.
The analysts once again emphasize that Shopify places a strong focus on research and development. The company invests 1.7 billion dollars annually in this area and releases more than 300 new features every year.
Shopware is represented in the Magic Quadrant for the sixth time and is one of the winners in 2025. In the current Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce, Shopware is listed as a Visionary and improves in terms of both 'Ability to Execute' and 'Completeness of Vision'. Gartner continues to see Shopware 's target segment as medium-sized companies in a wide range of industries. Among Shopware's strengths, the Gartner analysts include product innovations in the areas of 3D visualization and augmented reality as well as digital sales rooms. Shopware AI and the planned AI-supportedworkflow orchestration engine are also explicitly mentioned.
The Spryker Cloud Commerce OS is classified as Visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant 2025.
According to the analysts, Spryker is particularly characterized by the fact that its modular architecture makes it very well suited to mapping complex business models. Gartner also recognizes the platform's strength in the B2B sector, particularly in the manufacturing industry. The authors of the Magic Quadrant emphasize that Spryker provides an MCP server that enables customers to place orders via Anthropic Claude or external LLMs. The company's roadmap also envisages the integration of further LLM and agent functionalities.
