Big Dutchman and basecom implement B2B webshop and PWA with Magento 2

As a plant manufacturer in the field of feeding technology and barn equipment for poultry and pig farming, Big Dutchman is active in over 100 countries worldwide. The industry leader convinces customers on five continents with know-how, quality and service. In our joint project with Big Dutchman, a B2B webshop for the sale of spare parts was to be implemented. The task was to find a store solution that not only met the large range of around 65,000 products, but also the requirements of the plant manufacturer’s customers in the B2B sector.

In addition, a Progressive Web App (PWA) was to be developed to help customers identify individual products and components installed in their plants through spare parts sales.

In addition to performance and security, a special focus of our projects with the customer Big Dutchman is on the aspect of service quality for the store customers. An exciting challenge for us was the development and integration of the PWA and working with this young and innovative technology.

Based on the powerful and secure store system Magento 2, a modern and appealing B2B webshop was implemented. To make it easier for Big Dutchman customers to purchase spare parts, a quickorder form has been integrated. In addition, the store was adapted to the company’s needs in terms of design and usability.

In addition, a Progressive Web App (PWA) was developed for item identification, making it easier for customers to identify and order needed spare parts from Big Dutchman.

Together with Big Dutchman we succeeded in implementing a visually appealing and modern store, which offers the necessary performance and security on the basis of Magento 2 and fully meets the requirements of the customer.

The PWA helps customers and spare parts sales to quickly identify products. This innovative technology enables Big Dutchman’s customers to order spare parts more quickly and easily, and the company can significantly increase the quality of service for its customers.
