Amazone partnered with basecom to relaunch its fan shop using Shopify Plus. This collaboration aimed to create a modern, user-friendly online store that offers an extensive selection of branded merchandise. The range includes work and leisure wear, detailed models of agricultural machinery, and a variety of fan collectibles.
The transition from the previous VersaCommerce platform to the cloud-based Shopify Plus solution marked a significant step forward. The new platform enables Amazone to maintain greater control over the store, allowing for faster updates and independent adjustments.
Shopify Plus
Shopify Plus, the enterprise-grade solution from Shopify, is designed to meet the demands of medium to large businesses. The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform enables the rapid launch of an MVP, significantly reducing time-to-market. Businesses can customize and extend store functionality through apps or API integrations, while Shopify Plus’s extensive out-of-the-box features offer a robust foundation for scalable e-commerce projects. As a fully managed SaaS solution, it minimizes system maintenance and update efforts. Powerful APIs facilitate seamless integration with third-party systems, such as PIM, ERP, or CRM systems. Custom storefronts and front-end solutions can also be easily integrated.
Middleware Development
Custom middleware was developed to enhance system communication. This middleware acts as an interface between Shopify and other key systems. One critical use case is the automated delivery of real-time shipping notifications to customers.
UX & UI
The new Amazone fan shop prioritizes visual appeal, featuring a modern, clean aesthetic aligned with Amazone’s existing digital portals. This ensures a consistent and familiar brand experience for customers.
Analytics & SEO
To ensure optimal store performance, a comprehensive e-commerce tracking system was implemented using Google Analytics. This system provides in-depth insights into user behavior and conversion optimization.
